Some departments accept the 6-hour online CCW course and 2-hour live-fire range time and some do not and will only accept the 1 day 8-hour or more in-person class and live-fire training. We at A4F TACTICAL offer both class options and including advanced courses. Either course you choose, online CCW or in-person classroom CCW course, you will receive 2-hours or more of hands-on live fire training. Our online CCW course is setup as if you are sitting in our classroom. You will see the same instructors teaching the same PowerPoint Presentation as if sitting in our classroom. The only difference is you have control of the start and stop of the course. The online CCW course does engage the student and will ask questions that you will have to answer and must score an 80% or higher to continue through the modules. Then your final test is at the end after the Ohio law portion.

The course is progression controlled meaning you can not skip lessons or fast forward a lesson. If you fast forward a video the lesson will not complete to move on to the following lesson. This will require you to retake the lesson until properly completed. When you come to the range the Instructors will ask you questions to check your knowledge. The student can contact our Instructors for any questions. If a student needs extra help and more time on the range then the 2-hours we do not charge for that. We are here to help you to be confident and safe with your firearm. Check with the Sheriff's Department you are applying for you're CHL for acceptance of online CCW course. Our CCW courses are designed for the very beginner and the well experienced, no matter where you are in firearms knowledge, you will learn more at A4F TACTICAL.

CCW Classes / Firearms Training Q&A Questions and Answers

CCW Classes in Columbus, Ohio Area

Do I bring my own handgun?

We recommend you bring your own handgun and 50-100 rounds of ammo for the CCW/ CHL course. Each course may differ on ammo requirements. We do have 9mm and 22 caliber semi-automatic pistols that students can use. But we are limited and you may have to wait your turn to use our pistols. If using our pistols you will need 9mm ammo for our 9mm pistols and 22 Caliber LR for our 22 Caliber pistols. We do sell ammo at our store at great prices!

Is the A4F TACTICAL Ohio CCW course good for me as a beginner to start my training?

Yes, the A4F TACTICAL CCW/ CHL Course online or classroom is designed for the very beginner and the well experienced with firearms. No matter where you are in firearm knowledge, you will learn more at

A4F TACTICAL.

What is included in the CCW Course?

The purchase of our CCW/ CHL Course or Online CCW Concealed Carry Course includes free range time, targets, hearing and eye protection. Just bring 50 to 100 rounds of ammo or purchase in our store at the range. Our ammo prices are some of the best in the industry.

The online CCW course is interactive and regularly engages the student. Our Ohio Online CCW course is designed to help the student feel as if they are in the classroom.

Do You Sell Ammo?

Yes, we have some of the best prices in the industry!

Call, email ahead to be sure we have the caliber you need before your range time.

Do you offer advance courses?

Yes, we have the series Advanced Rapid Pistol Course, rifle, shotgun and more. We use a professional shot timer to record you down to the millisecond on your draws, shots and performance. We teach methods for expert performance. Students must already have a CCW License or have already taken the Basic pistol course. Each course comes with a certificate. See our many courses

Is there a dress code for the gun range?

We want our students to wear shoes or boots. No flip flops, sandals, or slippers on the range. No low-cut shirts. Must wear hearing and eye protection on the range. We will provide this for free if needed. We also sell new at a great affordable price.
